Finn Isaiah was born at 6:59 am this morning - May 2nd! He was 6 lb. 12 oz. Her water broke at home around 6 am and she tried to drive to the hospital she had planned, but soon realized she wasn't going to make it. We think she took an ambulance then, but need to verify it for sure. She made it to labor and delivery then and pushed twice and out he came! Barely in labor for an hour. So needless to say, we didn't make it for his arrival, but are hoping to see and hold him in the next hour or so!!
Thanks for all your prayers and support! We feel so blessed and excited to be parents again!

Florida
We got the pleasure of spending 9 days in Florida this last week. Little did we know that we were going to get the news of being matched up with an adoption the Monday after we got back! So we were really happy that we got to spend this last trip as a family of 3! Selah did pretty well on the flight and we were lucky because Tadd's parents flew on the same flight that we did so that helped a ton.
Suckers were a lifesaver...a little entertainment as long as I could stand the sticky mess
Selah was spoiled to say the least this trip. We arrived on Wednesday and got to spend time with Tadd's parents in the beginning of the week. My parents then arrived on Friday night and stayed at our house with us also. So two sets of grandparents did their job and spoiled her rotten.
We got to go to the zoo one cloudy day, but ended up getting rained on...heavily and had to leave soon after we got there but it was worth the memories!

This was my parents' first time on being in Florida with us. Hopefully they had a good time- we sure did! It was great having an extra pair of hands around to help with Selah.
One example of Selah being spoiled. Drinking POP in a regular glass of course. No sippy cup for Selah. She has to top it off with waving at everyone to make sure we all see how big she is!

This picture makes me laugh...Selah caught on very quickly that if we put on her swimsuit in the morning it meant we were either going to the beach or going to be swimming so about the 3rd morning there literally right after she woke up she found her swimsuit in her suitcase and was trying to put it on.
Selah was Grandpa's girl!

Easter
Happy Belated Easter! We had a great Easter season this year. We celebrated with Tadd's family at our house. Selah loved the Easter egg hunt with Addy and Brooks.

Last year we were in Florida so Selah missed out on an Easter basket so this was technically her first one. We were getting ready to leave for Florida so it was filled with a lot of "practical" things she could use - boots to wear outside this spring in the mud and water shoes for Florida, a lizard, eggs, and a ball among other things. She did love everything in it though (as her expression shows :)

Then we were with my side of the family at my parents' house. My brother and his wife and family were here from Missouri so it was a full house, but lots of fun. Selah really got into the egg hunt with all the competition from her other cousins. Try explaining the "rules" to 6 kids under 7...quite interesting!

Selah is going to be a BIG SISTER!!
We just wanted to let you all know our great news! Selah is going to be a big sister soon (God willing that is). We have just been matched with a birthmom from Indiana. She is due on May 19th to have a little biracial baby boy! The even more exciting news is that she is already dilated to a 4 so it could be anytime. She is allowing us in on his birth so we literally are just waiting for the phone call to head out to Indiana.
God is GOOD! It is amazing to see how God has orchestrated this next adoption in our lives. His timing, His sovereignty... So far we have got to talk with this birthmother on the phone and she sounds amazing. We have been so blessed with the women brought into our lives through Laynie and Selah's adoptions and now this adoption.
We are appreciative of any prayers you can offer on our behalf. That if it is God's will this adoption can continue to go smoothly and take place, for the health and safety of both 'B' (the birthmother) and this baby boy, and for us to be able to feel His peace and hand over this upcoming event in our lives. Adoption is such a time of mixed emotions, highs and lows, and each hour of the day brings on a new flood of emotions. We are just enjoying the ride thus far and are so excited to be a daddy and mommy once again!
