Happy 4th!

So this is a little late, but Happy 4th of July! It was quite a rainy weekend to say the least. Friday and Saturday were both rainy all day. We were planning on taking Selah out boating for the first time on Saturday, but due to the weather couldn't go. We were all bummed, but her daddy was the most! On Sunday it turned out to be a very nice day. We ended up going in to the parade and eating with Tadd's family at Doug and Trista's - great kabobs Doug! It was great food and fun times. We took a bike ride around town and then went up to watch the fireworks that night at the lake. Selah only slept for about 2 hours total that day due to being at church in the morning and couldn't seem to fall asleep wherever we were, but she did very well despite getting little sleep. She really didn't seem to mind the loud noise of the fireworks. For the 1st half she even layed on the blanket with us just watching them. Then she decided she was bored and would rather jump up and down or crawl around :) This we like to call her 'slap happy' stage. She ended up crashing by the time we got home around 10:45 pm or so. It was a long day of celebrating our country's freedoms!

Besides that she is still teething like crazy. She now has 4 teeth on top and her 3rd coming in on the bottom, with the 4th close behind! Her favorite household thing - still the vents. She loves exploring and is not so easily entertained with her boring old toys anymore :)

Hope you all had a great weeked! Last week also brought a lot of memories rolling in. Selah turned 9 months on the 2nd - as old as Laynie was when we lost her. I had wrote a sappy rendition that day, but the computer froze up and I lost it, so I guess I wasn't meant to post it. But, God is continuing to bless us each day with His faithfulness!

Addy informed me this weekend that in 4 years she will be 12 and old enough to babysit Selah :)
